Charles Freeman
Charles “Chas” Morse Freeman, a native of Portland, Maine served as the United States Consul in Sydney, Nova Scotia from 1911 until 1924. The following pages document his early life growing up in Maine, his career in the Consular Service before moving to Sydney in 1911, his life in Sydney and his retirement and later life in Portland, Maine.
